In the rolling process, the roller is in contact with the high temperature rolling material, and must bear the rolling pressure, the twisting force must also bear the mechanical impact, mechanical wear and thermal action. Improper handling will cause roll fatigue, roll failure. When using rolls, the diameter deviation of the upper and lower rolls should be strictly between 0.05-0.15mm. In this state, the instantaneous impact force of the strip on the rolls can be reduced and the roll surface can be protected from damage. Rolling water cooling should be uniform and continuous enough to effectively cool the rolls. During the rolling process, the surface temperature of the roll shall not exceed 55 ℃, the loading temperature of high chromium cast iron shall not exceed 60 ℃, and the nickel chromium infinite chilled cast iron roll shall not exceed 65 ℃. Otherwise, the roll surface is prone to thermal fatigue or change the roll profile. Before each production, various defects (mainly turtle cracks) on the surface of the roll must be removed. The total amount of grinding for one-time use and repair (including wear, fatigue layer removal and roll type repair) on the roll is generally 0.35-0.6mm. It is advisable that the total amount of rolled material on the roll should be 1800-2400 tons at a time. Excessive juice extraction will cause excessive wear of the roll and deepening of micro-cracks, increase the amount of secondary grinding, and increase the consumption of the roll. At the same time, it will also lead to a serious decline in the quality of the plate (roughness, flatness, dimensional accuracy, thickness deviation).
In the rolling process, if the cooling water system fails, the cold curved water flow should be closed as soon as possible to avoid the formation of deep turtle cracks in the rolls;
Quality inspection shall be carried out after the roll is put off, and surface defects such as cracks shall be ground off. In addition, the cold and heat of the roll are strictly prohibited. To regularly carry out flaw detection on the roll, check the roll surface, internal organization and the quality of the combined layer, to ensure that the roll can be used normally, it is recommended to match seven spare rolls according to one, improve the roll resistance to accident risk.
